Mbappe sues PSG over personal image

The relationship between Mbappe and PSG continues to deteriorate as he sues the Parisian club for using his personal image in a ticket sales advertising campaign.

The most famous football star in France today, Kylian Mbappe, on Thursday (April 6) harshly accused PSG of using his image in a video for the ticket extension campaign for the upcoming season.

Mbappe published the content on his personal page, emphasizing to the club that PSG is "not Kylian Saint-Germain."

Mbappe is unhappy with PSG using his personal image.

"I just participated in the club's season ticket renewal campaign for the 2023-2024 season. I was not informed of its content during the interview with my interlocutor," Mbappe explained.

The football star who scored a hat-trick in the 2022 World Cup final said: "It looked like a basic interview on a marketing day for the club. I do not agree with this published video."

Mbappe was the only main character in the advertisement video, featuring images of his celebration and a personal interview.

Neither Leo Messi, Neymar nor Sergio Ramos accompanied Kylian during PSG's new campaign.

Therefore, the new captain of the French national team became the main image that the Parisian club used for the registration campaign for the next season.

PSG is in a sensitive phase, with too many conflicts and no one is sure to stay.

"That's why I fight for my personal image rights," Mbappe recalled some aspects that were key to his extension process with PSG until 2025.

"PSG is a great club and a great family, but it certainly is not Kylian Saint-Germain," Mbappe publicly criticized on Instagram.
